Due to the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic we have made the challenging decision to terminate short-term rentals of the property for the foreseeable future. We have made this decision for a number of reasons. Although the Ontario Government has recently permitted short term rentals to begin operating, there has been a lack of appropriate guidance to begin operating. Moreover, the health and safety of our local community is of primary concern and we do not believe re-opening the Jasper Stuart House at this time is in the best interest of our community.

We are hoping that the situation improves and that we will be able to re-open short-term rentals for the 2021 season. We hope you support the decision that we have made and look forward to the opportunity to host you in the future.

Escape for a Relaxing Getaway

The Jasper Stuart House is an Elegant Full House Country Rental. The House sleeps 10 people or 16 people sharing queen & king beds. We boast 8 bathrooms and 6 of the rooms have ensuites. There is a beautiful large kitchen where you can create your own meals or have the option to have your meals prepared & catered by a local chef.

The property features a private outdoor pool for use from June – October, as well as a fire pit and many beautiful sitting areas through the extensive gardens. Plan to head for a hike on the Bruce Trail, enjoy a wood-oven pizza at Justin’s Oven, quench your thirst at one of the many local cideries, craft breweries or wineries, or unwind and take a break to recharge.

FAQ & Policies

How many people can stay in the Jasper Stuart House?

Jasper Stuart House has seven fully furnished bedrooms and eight beautiful bathrooms, comfortably sleeping up to 16 people. Check out our Virtual Tour page to explore the different rooms in the house, as well as, the suite & room description on Stay With Us page.

 

Do you allow pets?

Jasper Stuart House is a pet free facility and we do not permit animals inside the house.

 

What is your smoking policy?

We have a strict ‘no smoking’ policy inside the Jasper Stuart House. If you smoke inside the house you will immediately lose your rental deposit and you will be responsible for paying for the removal of all traces of smoke. There are dedicated places outside the house where smoking is permitted. Ashtrays are supplied there and must be used.

 

Do I have to clean the house at the end of my stay?

A cleaning charge will be included as part of the cost of your stay so you do not have to clean the house at the end of your stay, but everything should be put back to how you found it. However, we do ask that you do treat this beautiful century home with the respect that she deserves. If damage occurs as a result of you or your guests negligence, the cost to repair the damage will be charged to you. There may also be additional costs charged for excessive clean up or extra garbage as the municipality has a 2 bag limit.

 

Is there cell service & Wi-Fi?

Fear not and rest easy knowing that you’ll be able to stay fully connected! We provide our guests with access to our high speed wireless network and we have excellent coverage by all of the major cell phone carriers. We also provide a HDMI connection for the large smart TV.

 

What is the check-in and check-out procedure?

Check-in time is 4pm or later on your day of arrival and check-out time is at or before 11am on your day of departure, unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking. You will be given an access code with house instructions a week prior to check-in.

 

What are the payment terms?

You will be charged a security/Damage deposit as part of your booking. However, we are confident, that you and your group will care & treat our beautiful Victorian home as nicely as your own; the security deposit will be refunded to your credit card immediately after your stay assuming there are no issues. (please allow 3-5 days for it to appear). Full payment is required two months prior to your stay.

 

Cancellation Policy

We offer a moderate cancellation policy. Last minute cancellations are difficult because unlike hotels in urban areas, our guests book many weeks and months in advance. If you need to cancel, please let us know as quickly as possible.
A 100% refund is provided for travelers cancelling at least 45 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travelers cancelling from 22 to 44 days before check-in. No refunds other than security/ damage deposit are provided for travelers cancelling less than 21 days/3 weeks prior to check-in.  If we do re-book the days you cancel, a full refund less $100.00 administration fee will be refunded.
NOTE:    Booking Fees are refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of placing your booking request.
